Join the Wave campaign to save access to abortion. Abortion access is at risk across the nation. Abortion is healthcare and reproductive health is a human right. Our staff will be out in communities across the country talking to supporters, raising critical dollars, and identifying long-term donors for partner groups like the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice America to protect this fundamental right. Wave Fundraising is looking for talented staff managers to run face-to-face (F2F) fundraising offices to save abortion access. A F2F Office Director is responsible for managing and training a staff of paid fundraisers to hit ambitious membership and fundraising goals on our campaigns. The ideal candidate is eager to get hands-on experience with staff development, fundraising, team building and project management.
The F2F Regional Director will provide a key leadership role in the growth and development of our face-to-face business. They will help to manage staff, launch new offices, and oversee successful fundraising campaigns for multiple national clients.
This is a Regional Director-level role reporting to the National or Deputy National Face-to-Face Director.
Location: This is a remote position. You should expect to travel between 6-10 days per month, on average.
Responsibilities Include:
Impress Clients by Delivering Quality
- The Regional Director will ensure each office in their region meets client deliverables on an ongoing basis. This includes meeting weekly, monthly and quarterly donor deliverables while also maintaining donor quality. Donor quality will be assessed by donor retention.
Staff and Office Management
- The Regional Director will manage a team of 3-6 Offices and the Office Directors (ODs) who run those offices to drive company-wide goals, including donor deliverables, donor retention, staffing and Equity & Justice goals.
- Staff management will include weekly planning meetings, check-ins, trainings, and site visits, as well as wholesale management of ODs through regular team meetings.
- The Regional Director will travel to offices and work with Campaign Directors on the ground for a few days most weeks and will canvass out of the offices to lead by example
- The Regional Director will conduct formal staff evaluations over the course of the campaign.
- The Regional Director will ensure that staff are following all health and safety protocols.
Training & Leadership Development
- The Regional Director will provide ongoing training to Office Directors which includes running remote trainings, regional trainings and national training.
- The Regional Director along with the National Directors will be responsible for running regular Director training. This includes presenting content and working in small groups or individually with trainees on skills development.
- The Regional Director will be responsible for identifying staff at all levels with leadership potential and coming up with a plan to move them up a leadership ladder. This includes meeting with directors and fundraisers, talking to them about leadership roles, and identifying or running special trainings to give staff skills for taking on more responsibility.
Equity and Justice
- The Regional Director will help to ensure we meet Equity and Justice goals in the department. This includes ensuring that departmental goals for hiring and developing BIPOC staff into leadership roles are met.
- The Regional Director will work with the National Directors and the Vice-President of Equity & Justice to report on progress to goals, feedback from the offices, and additional training or support as needed.
Recruitment
- The Regional Director will play an integral role in departmental recruitment. This includes conducting interviews, making hiring decisions and ensuring staff are developed and promoted from within the department.
- The Regional Director will also be responsible for working with the National Directors and Recruitment director to assess and refine recruitment strategies to ensure all staffing goals and expansion goals are being met.
Qualifications:
Must haves
- 3+ years of experience in issue and/or electoral campaigns with increasing responsibility over time.
- Track record of equity and inclusion.
- Self-starter and excellent problem solving skills.
- Good balance of hands on/hands off as a staff manager.
- Passion for progressive solutions to big problems.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Willingness to travel an average of 6-10 days per month
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to enforce the health and safety rules across all operations without fail.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in F2F fundraising
Salary
The salary range for this role is $65,000-$88,500, depending on experience, plus up to $10,000 in bonuses based on performance. We offer a generous benefits package, including unlimited PTO, health insurance, and hands-on training.
