Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a full-time Chief of Staff who has a passion for the trans and gender-diverse community, a background in business and/or executive administration with a reputation for leading new initiatives, galvanizing teams, and being an external champion for mission-driven organizations. We’re looking for a highly goal driven, gregarious, relational, tenacious, proactive, decisive, and organized leader who can identify problems, execute solutions, and lead with impact. If you are someone who can use both strategy and tactics to build and execute projects, then this is a role for you! This role will be responsible for executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role will report to our CEO.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Set the tone, be great at communicating with others, inspiring workforce cohesiveness and team participation.
- Find problems and fix them – ask forgiveness, not permission
- Acts as a direct thought-partner and advisor to the CEO and COO to drive strategic alignment across the organization
- Able to manage people deeply involved in projects ranging from research, quality improvement, advocacy, government relations, fundraising, marketing, and communications
- Build trusted relationships and extend communication regarding organizational objectives, planning and proposals to internal and external stakeholders
- Be direct and be able to call out BS, while asking the tough questions
- Think three steps ahead – be aware of opportunities and threats
- Collaborate with staff to determine and prioritize business strategies
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure accountability and delivery on a variety of projects
- Identify and facilitate internal and external meetings
- Work well with the media and able to coordinate communications strategies
- Remain informed of the current political, policy, and economic climate as it relates to gender-affirming care and able to develop tactics to respond appropriately
- Proactively develop partnerships and dialogue with external stakeholders in line with organizational strategy
- Lead business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of executive and interdepartmental leadership
- Able to broadly know the workings of the organization and liaison with the entire team well
- Manage and act as a linkage between departmental functions within the larger organization
- Enforce policies and procedures of the organization that will improve the operational, clinical, and financial effectiveness of the company
- Lead and motivate colleagues to advance employee engagement to develop a high performing team
- Act as a point of contact between Executive Leadership and other stakeholders
- Develop supplemental goals to support broad functional objectives
- Perform administrative duties as assigned
Who You’ll Lead
- This role will lead our Fundraising Lead, Communications Lead, and Research Assistant
- This person will indirectly lead cross functional programs and projects
- This person will lead Board of Director initiatives as assigned

- Excellent presentation skills, data analysis, written and verbal communication, Microsoft Office Suite, calendaring and project management software
- Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
Nice-to-Haves:
- MBA, or similar Master’s-level degree
- A minimum of seven years in business, consulting, or leading major cross functional initiatives or related business experience
- PMP, MPM or PgMP
- SHRM-CP, SPHR
- LEAN, Agile
