Description: Pedego Alexandria is looking for a commercial artist skilled in strategy to serve as our communication designer. This role requires a strong grasp of brand identity and dynamic storytelling. Our designer will handle marketing, public relations, social media, graphic design, and visual displays from conception to execution. We’re looking for someone smart, determined, considerate, and generally a great person.
Duties:
- Design and produce graphics for print and digital media
- Moderate and maintain social media platforms and online listings
- Create and curate content to engage and grow online audience
- Fabricate and maintain visual displays in-stores
- Strategize and execute creative marketing campaigns
- Manage advertising channels and budget
- Write and edit copy for PR statements
- Connect and collaborate with PR partners
- Represent our stores with strong and consistent brand voice
- Tell our brand story via sensory and conceptual expression
Basic Qualifications:
- Prior experience in marketing or mass communications
- Skilled in strategic planning and execution
- Competent in Adobe Creative Cloud and Google Workspace
- Technical and cultural understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
- Proficient in copywriting
- Confident in reputation management
- Comfortable working on a ladder
- Interest in electric bikes
- Get to the shop on time
- Speak conversational English
- Apply elements of art and principles of design
- Create within brand identity and storytelling framework
- Craft displays from physical materials
- Direct and produce content for audience engagement
- Work resourcefully within budget
- Accept responsibility for mistakes easily
- Take personal pride in quality of products
- Cultural competency and sensitivity
- Support of mobility justice, sustainability, accessibility
- Desire to go above and beyond basic duties
Bonus Qualifications:
- Training in human-centered and/or UX design
- Degree in fine or commercial arts
- Talent for painting
- Experience using Buffer, Google Business, and/or Meta for Business
- Write in Spanish
- Ride a bike
- Any special skill
- Own a Pedego e-bike 🙂
