US Community Lead

Full-Time
GenderGP Posted by GenderGP United States

Job Description

About GenderGP

At GenderGP, we know that gender-affirming healthcare isn’t just life-changing, it’s time-critical. Founded in the UK and serving patients across the US, Europe, and Latin America, we enable access to compassionate online support, prescriptions, and community-based care for trans and gender-diverse people globally. With a subscription-led model at our core, we’re growing fast and need someone who can connect GenderGP with the communities that need us most.

Why this role matters

Subscription growth is the engine that powers GenderGP’s impact, funding life-changing care for thousands of people worldwide. But in the US trans community, growth comes from trust. And we have to earn that trust.

As our US Community Lead, you will be GenderGP’s champion in America. You aren’t just growing a subscriber base; you are championing a new era of accessible, dignified healthcare that allows everyone to be the person they’re meant to be. You will use your existing presence and networks to build meaningful relationships with trans-led organisations, businesses, event organisers, activists, and creators — and you will be the voice that ensures everything GenderGP does in the US actually speaks to the people it’s trying to reach.

What you will do

Build partnerships that open doors
You will identify and develop relationships with trans-led organisations, national advocacy bodies, trans-positive businesses, healthcare networks, community events, and pride organisations across the US. These aren’t transactional relationships – they are long-term partnerships built on shared values, mutual respect, and a genuine commitment to improving access to care.

Show up where the community is
Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, Discord, community events – you know these spaces and how to navigate them. You’ll build GenderGP’s presence authentically, knowing when to fly the flag and when to show up as a peer first.

Tell stories that matter
Create and share content that educates the community on transition rights, healthcare options, and self-care. Move beyond clinical language to highlight Trans Joy and empowered transition journeys, making gender-affirming care feel possible and within reach, not distant or clinical.

Work with creators who share our values
Identify and collaborate with trans and non-binary influencers and content creators to amplify GenderGP’s mission through authentic, peer-to-peer endorsement through paid partnerships or value exchange, depending on what’s right for each relationship.

Be our eyes and ears
You will understand this community better than anyone else on the team. Feed that intelligence back into our paid media agency, SEO team, and product roadmap so that everything GenderGP does in the US is shaped by someone who genuinely knows the landscape.

About You

  • You identify as transgender, non-binary, or gender diverse. This is essential for the authenticity and trust required to lead this movement.
  • You are already an active, recognised member of the US trans community, with a history of advocacy, activism, or community leadership. This role builds on a presence you already have – it doesn’t create one from scratch.
  • You have existing relationships with trans organisations, advocacy bodies, or community networks, and you understand how to build partnerships that last.
  • You know how to create content that stops the scroll and starts a conversation. Ideally you also have a strong, positive social media presence and are comfortable on camera.
  • You can explain complex medical or administrative processes in a way that is clear, compassionate, and empowering.
  • You understand the current US political and legal landscape affecting trans healthcare, and you are motivated rather than paralysed by it.
  • You are a self-starter who is comfortable building a presence from the ground up and isn’t afraid to take the lead on new initiatives.

What we offer

🏠 Fully remote (with US-based preference).

💷 $65,000 – $70,000 per year. Contract role.

💙 A culture built on empathy, impact, and compliance, where performance is recognised, success is rewarded, and your work directly improves access to gender-affirming care worldwide.
