Working alongside an experienced team in a busy and welcoming department, our Technical Assistants play a key role in supporting our productions from acquisition through to delivery.
Key responsibilities would be processing and archiving rushes, prep and support for logging and editing plus opening and closing edits. Supported by our Project Leads, there is the opportunity to prep kit, transfer media, organise uploads, support edits, use a variety of software from Avid and Da Vinci to Yo-Yotta to CatDV and establish a detailed understanding of our complex workflow.
Following an established training plan, our tech assistants have ‘on the job’ training including for more specific software’s and processes.
Tech assistants work split shifts from 08:00-16:00, 10:00 to 18:00 or 12:00-20:00 (Rotated weekly) to support our inhouse production work.
Skills and Experience :
This is an early career level role and crucial is an ability to demonstrate the following;
- Technically minded and keen to learn.
- Interested in a career in the technical, editing and post productions areas of the industry rather than the production management / camera areas.
- Attention to detail and ability to organise.
- You will have contact with all in the company so good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work within the team.
- Experience of Mac and / or PC is required
- Evidence of any experience in any other post / editorial software (Davinci or Avid for example).
The Offer
- This is a Full Time Role
- Start date ASAP / 5th October 2026
- Contract for a 1 year with opportunity to extend and progress.
