Job Description

Job Title: Managing Director
Department: Administrative
Reports To: Owners
FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Focuses on business development, account management, operating standards, and company performance. Oversees the operations of the company, working with other members of the executive and ownership team. Reports directly to the owners of Women’s Recovery by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures performance goals are set and met.*

Develops and directs strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the company.*

Monitors the operating and financial results of the company, including forecasts and budgets.*

Establishes referral sources and other new business contacts.*

Coordinates efforts with marketing, sales, legal, and financial departments.*

Develops operating plans that reflect the long-term objectives and priorities of the company.*

Ensures accountable to the owners for all company operations.*

Supports the organization’s strategic alliances and partnerships.*

Interacts with department heads and clients.*

Formulates and implements company policies.*

Assists in the recruitment of employees.*

Oversees the manager of human resources.*

Oversees the billing and administrative coordinator.*

Ensures the administrative functions facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of the organization.*

Coordinates with executive and clinical directors to ensure that potential admits are in every way suited to the program.*

Obtains insurance information and delegates to billing coordinator.*

Communicates with and assists families throughout the admission process.*

Coordinates admission details with the director of client services.*

Supervises all senior staff.*

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages three subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of two employees in the Clinical and Client Service Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises four employees (non-supervisory). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Math Ability:
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Paychex Payroll Systems, Google Chrome, and Paychex Human Resource Systems.

Master’s degree (M. A. / M. S.) or equivalent; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training:
Impeccable ethics and integrity as demonstrated through previous leadership experiences and outstanding references
Advanced knowledge of the 12-Step treatment and its application in residential treatment
Thorough knowledge of treatment and referral communities
Advanced understanding of HIPAA and CFR 42 requirements

Certificates and Licenses:
First Aid
