Salary Range:$65,000.00 To $76,000.00 Annually

 

We Seek:

The University of New Mexico Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven individual to serve as our Finance and Compliance Senior Analyst. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the Foundation’s financial operations are compliant with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. The successful candidate will assist with preparing financial statements and reports, managing endowment fund reporting, coordinating audits, supporting the annual budget process, and maintaining accurate records for IRS and donor compliance.

What We Require: 

This role also collaborates with the finance team to ensure transactions are properly recorded, coded, and reconciled in accordance with accounting standards. The Finance and Compliance Senior Analyst monitors donor funds to ensure alignment with donor intent and works cross-departmentally to support policy development and staff training. The ideal candidate brings both technical knowledge and a strong sense of integrity to safeguard the Foundation’s financial health and uphold our commitment to transparency.

 The minimum education and experience required: 

  • Baccalaureate degree in Finance, Accounting, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Three years directly related experience required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing or compliance, experience within a nonprofit, university foundation, or higher education setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience in understanding endowment management and donations preferred.
  • A certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CMA, etc.) is a preferred.

Compensation Salary Range:

$65,000 – $76,000

Note: Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, Hybrid/Remote Options Available
  • Weekend availability
  • Office Hours are 8am to 5pm.
