Director of Marketing

General Purpose

Develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional calendars and programs, new product introductions, and other marketing projects. Develop and manage marketing budgets. Develop sales forecasting and product branding plans. Establish and grow a target market share.

Main Job Task, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute strategies for increasing sales by:
    • Identifying and engaging your targeting audience
    • Strategically pricing and positioning products to effectively align with the company’s brand and effectively increase the transaction price of products and the overall market share.
    • Determining the best channels to reach target customers
    • Creating programs to secure new customers and retain established customer base such as:
      • Referral
      • Customer Loyalty
      • Cart Abandonment
      • Email signup
      • Post-Purchase
      • Reviews
      • Wishlist
      • Text Messaging
      • Customer Retention Cycle
    • Developing promotional content/material
    • Provide conversion strategies and techniques to turn a prospective customer into pay customers
  • Oversee the implementation and production of strategy—photoshoot planning, image, and copy review, etc.
  • Supervise website and merchandising of all company products
  • Managing a content calendar for social media and monthly marketing campaign planning and growth.
  • Oversee the day to day implementation of new merchandise for an on-time product launch
  • Continually review sales and trends of the business and identify opportunities with a negative impact on the business.
  • Manage and refine the company’s social media presence on all platforms
  • Utilize data for marketing campaigns and create programs based on analysis of product sales.
  • Understanding the customer journey and workflow with everything related to the company website and improving on the process
  • Effectively forecast financials related to expenses and the return associated with new customers, sales, profits, etc.
  • Identify new business opportunities and negotiating with partners to manage costs and ROI
  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and overall plans in an executive summary
