Part-Time Digital Coordinator

Position Description:

We are looking for a talented and energized Digital Coordinator to join our team and support our robust 2020 Census campaign. This position will help us deepen and build the support we offer to our partners’ field operations, especially when it comes to online organizing and communications. The Digital Coordinator should be a self-starter and data driven with a clear vision on how to use digital platforms to inform and mobilize communities. The ideal candidate has experience running a digital campaign, is proficient working with different technologies, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

-Support Communications Director to develop and implement digital strategies for education and advocacy on ensuring a full census count
-Manage multiple data-capturing mechanisms into one streamlined content management system (EveryAction)
-Establish and amplify digital presence of campaign
-Manage and edit WordPress website and social media channels
-Develop content (including graphics and, if appropriate, short videos) for appropriate digital channels and ads
-Set up and run emails through EveryAction
-Create and run A/B tests for emails, ads, and text messages as appropriate; analyze the performance of ads, emails, and text messages, and adjust content and strategies accordingly, as well as when needed to respond to breaking news
-Understand and apply data analytics, including but not limited to, monitoring of ROIs and KPIs, to the appropriate digital channels to improve effectiveness
-Generate website and social media traffic through effective digital techniques while generating regular reports on engagement and growth activities in our online platforms and communities

Qualifications:

-Demonstrated experience managing digital media in advocacy campaigns
-Fluency in social media performance metrics and insights
-Familiarity with web design and content management systems
-Comfort with Google Analytics and Facebook Ads
-Proficiency in EveryAction strongly preferred
-Some professional experience in field work/community organizing desired
-Ability to problem-solve and manage workflow both independently and collaboratively
-Commitment to understanding race, class, gender, and other equity issues as a core of your work and the impact these have on our collective experience

Salary and Benefits

This is a part-time position (20 hours a week) through August 2020 with the potential to extend through the end of 2020. Also has potential to advance into full-time hours.
Salary is competitive and negotiable and starts at $24/hr. Paid vacation, sick days, and 401K offered. Phone allowance included.
