Manage the overall digital communications needs of the Philanthropy team, with an emphasis on membership email and SMS, ensuring full integration with other membership communications. Build and manage email marketing campaigns, including fundraising campaigns, automations, ad hoc campaigns, and communications for other teams within Philanthropy. Inform strategies with robust email and SMS tracking and reporting, testing, and an understanding of email marketing best practices. Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop communications journeys for Cascade PBS audiences and create a cohesive experience. Extract, transform and deliver data and reporting for SMS and email marketing campaigns. Demonstrate Cascade PBS’s values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity.

Salary range: $33.23 – $37.22 per hour

Location: Seattle, WA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Responsible for developing and man aging programmatic email sends to acquire, recapture, upgrade and retain members, including fundraising campaigns, Cascade PBS Passport campaigns, email automations and journeys.
  • Develop and manage SMS (text) campaigns and engagement for the membership team.
  • Collaborate with Marcom and Editorial to develop consistent branding and engagement in communications journeys for Cascade PBS audiences (email and SMS), as well as cohesive tactical approaches to conversion, engagement, and donor retention.
  • Collaborate with the entire Philanthropy team in sending stewardship and cultivation emails.
  • Lead of the Engaging Networks email and SMS platform for the Philanthropy team. This person will be the primary resource for any questions or assistance related to Engaging Networks.
  • Monitor and analyze email and SMS performance using analytics tools. Provide regular reports on key metrics, such as conversion rates, click-through and open rates, and return on investment (ROI). Use insights to optimize and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Create queries in Engaging Networks to create send and suppression lists for email and SMS communications and automations.
  • Meet revenue goals established by the membership director.
  • Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of Cascade PBS

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage various audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in interpreting data and using it to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and a passion for developing innovative strategies to drive engagement and donations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS in Marketing or Communications preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in digital fundraising, digital marketing, or a related field, with a focus on nonprofit organizations or public media preferred. Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor engagement through digital communications.
  • Proficiency in email marketing tools and platforms, including A/B testing. Experience in Engaging Networks a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with a nonprofit CRM (Revolution CRM preferred); including ability to track revenue and donor lifecycles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, with advanced Excel experience (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
