Full-Time Family Case Manager
Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION: Provide trauma-informed case management services designed to prevent homelessness and stabilize housing for children and families who have been homeless. This includes assessment, information and referral, goal setting, and direct advocacy, cooperative case planning and coordination of services. Assist and empower residents to make necessary connections with community and providers to stabilize their lives. This is a unionized position, represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU).
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Compass on Dexter – Our home for families in South Lake Union provides 72 units of housing for formerly homeless and low-income men, women and children. On-site amenities include a children’s center, outdoor play area, shared community room and case management.

LOCATION: South Lake Union neighborhood in Seattle, WA
REPORTS TO: Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE #1: Tuesday & Friday 9:30am-6pm, Wednesday 10:30am-7pm, Thursday & Saturday 9am-5:30pm; with staff meetings on Mondays 11am-12pm
SALARY RANGE: $18.58 (Level 1) or $20.09 (Level 2 MSW or other relevant clinical masters degree) per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree is strongly desired, Master’s degree preferred in social work or a related field. Or relevant work experience, certificate and/or equivalent continuing professional development or education.
Experience working with children, youth, and families, strongly desired.
A minimum of 1-year experience in case management experience, desired.
2+ years’ experience working in a human service setting related to housing and homelessness, desired.
Demonstrated familiarity with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, required.
