Full-Time Podcast Marketing Manager

Job Description

Edit Audio is built on a mission to make the podcasting space representative of the world we live in. Duties:
– Generate and build brand awareness for Edit Audio.
– Creating and utilizing a content calendar to draft, edit and schedule weekly posts for all social channels (Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, & LinkedIn)
– Create social media content that will promote both internal Edit Audio projects and client work
– Community Management: engage with followers, mentions and related hashtags on all social platforms.
– Build up an audience newsletter
– Contribute ideas and writing to our Medium page.
– Create and share monthly reports of Edit Audio’s social analytics
– Create analytics reports for our clients on the performance and growth of their show(s)
– Consult with current and prospective clients on marketing their podcasts & help them understand how to best optimize their listenership.
– Consult on best promotional and marketing strategies on proposals made for prospective clients
– Assisting clients with advertising and tracking campaigns for their podcasts
– Maintaining and establishing relationships with different listening platforms and promotional channels
– Conduct on-going research and outreach for prospective clients
– Update and maintain our website (uses Contentful)
– Engage in various PR opportunities for original podcasts.

The Ideal Candidate:
– Understands Edit Audio’s voice and mission, and feels comfortable utilizing the voice of the company.
– Has 2+ years of experience or ability to show their voice through their own social media accounts, writing, or marketing campaigns they’ve helped execute
– Is passionate about creating a podcasting industry that is representative of the real world.
– Enjoys building community and engaging with others across platforms
– Loves podcasts, or is interested in audio engineering and the future of media.
– Has an understanding of the podcast industry and marketing practices inside of it
– Has a deep understanding of social media best practices
– Is able to promote a variety of clients’ content under the editaudio voice
– Is able to be flexible and adapt content to timely events and news
– Comfortable with sharing your work, and open to receiving feedback
– Is comfortable engaging with clients regularly and collaborating with them on strategies
– Excellent written communication skills
– A sufficient self starter, someone who is motivated and able to manage tasks on their own.
– Is comfortable with being in charge of social media platforms, multitasking, building community and engaging with others online.

Bonuses:
– Has experience with graphic design software, photography, video editing software. (Ex: Headliner, Sketch/Photoshop/InDesign, Canva, Stories Edit)
– Has experience using Contentful (or a content management platform)
– Experience writing blog posts
– Worked in the podcasting space previously
– Experience working with ad campaigns within the podcast space
