Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer in Test who will not only help enhance the developer quality of life, but also the growth of the Pixieset product. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will become an advocate of product quality within the engineering team, and helping developers, help themselves. You will be showing your creativity and initiative to improve test coverage and effectiveness of the team through automation and owning the CI/CD pipeline.
Your responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product manager and development team to understand how new features should be tested and contributing to automation tests for new features
- Reviewing product code with focus around testability and error detection/handling
- Develop end-to-end testing strategy and processes that drive quality and speed up time to market
- Owning test strategies and error detection during deployments
- Expand our existing test automation framework and test coverage
- Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Track and communicate test results in a timely, effective, and automated manner
- Identify, record, and document bugs

What you’ll bring:
We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test who is a quick learner, tech-obsessed and is comfortable jumping into unfamiliar platforms and various code bases. You are keen to learn new technologies and strive for excellence in everything you do. We’re looking for:
- 2 to 4 years experience as a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role
- Knowledge and experience with various web stack related languages (e.g. PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, SQL)
- Experience writing and reviewing unit and feature tests
- Experience with scripting test suites for web applications using automated testing frameworks (e.g. TestCafe, Selenium, Jest, Puppeteer, etc.)
- Bonus experiences: CI/CD, Test Tooling and Infrastructure, Development Deployment Operations
