Full-Time Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building, testing, debugging/troubleshooting, and maintaining code for our internal and customer facing web applications. This is a high visibility application that is vital to the growth of our business and it will become the standard to use in the drayage/container shipping industry for shippers.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement new features for our internal and external customer-facing web applications
- Define best practices and design patterns for our web frontend and supporting APIs
- Monitor and maintain existing systems and deliver improvements and bugfixes as necessary
- Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to scope work appropriately for execution
- As a senior engineer, play a role in guiding, mentoring and supporting the team’s growth. Helping to ensure that pull requests are reviewed and addressed within a timely manner and encouraging constructive feedback / conversations.
- At Dray Alliance, we dedicate a portion of our attention to matters that allow for us to work smarter, faster, or simply reduce friction in the developer experience. These tasks can vary from engineer “quality of life” improvements to larger security or upgrade improvements across the codebases of the entire department.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated track record of building exceptional software
- Extensive experience and knowledge with JavaScript, React, and Node.js
- Strong understanding of state management solutions in large frontend systems
- Knowledge and experience with AGILE methodology (not a deal breaker)
- Experience deploying applications with A/B testing support
- Passion for creative problem solving
