You Will Use Your Expertise To:

As a Process Control Engineer, you will provide process control support to our gas phase Polyethylene plant. Opportunity to support other Ethylene or Polyethylene units may exist in the long-term.

  • Design, implement, and maintain control strategies on Honeywell TPS and PKS systems including advanced control and automated procedures.
  • Demonstrated programming capabilities on Honeywell DCS (TPS, PKS)
  • Lead the hazard review process for process control strategies.
  • Auditing controller benefits
  • Develop and maintain HMI’s (operator interface).
  • Provide process control support for unit and capital projects.
  • Perform alarm management activities.
  • Work as part of the plant multidisciplinary team to monitor plant performance and initiate action to improve
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the control system database.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations
  • Provide technical assistance to the facility operating teams.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering as a minimum.
  • P.Eng in the province of Alberta (or eligible)
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in an operating facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated Responsible Care values
  • Ability to adapt and contribute within a dynamic and changing environment
  • Experience with any of the following is of significant value:
    • Pavilion advanced control software
    • Honeywell DCS (TPS, PKS)
    • Programming / scripting languages such as:
      • VB script
      • Jscript
      • Powershell
