CertiPath is seeking a Principal Architect to join their talented team in developing the next generation of access management software.

About the Job
The Principal Architect is a key role working across multiple CertiPath product lines. You will engage internal and client stakeholders, lead solution and system architecture reviews, maintain reference architectures, and manage high-level designs and derived requirements in a fast-paced environment. With a hands-on approach to managing overall solution evolution, iteration, and delivery, you will work as part of the broader CertiPath technology team to provide innovative, integrated solutions for secure production implementations, based on well-drafted requirements and business logic from product management.

Expected Salary
$155,000 – $175,000/yr

What does a typical day look like?
Work closely with CertiPath leadership, business development, and product management to collect and synthesize client requirements
Develop innovative solution and system-level architectures to meet or exceed client and industry standards
Develop and manage high-level solution design iterations as part of a portfolio-wide roadmap
Develop and maintain both high-level and detailed requirements as inputs to CertiPath’s Agile development processes
Map requirements effectively to releases and phases in coordination with CertiPath leadership and product management
Ensure that Agile processes and team outputs map effectively to higher-level contract, cost, schedule, quality, and security requirements
For custom development efforts (which they do from time-to-time), participate in client meetings and work with CertiPath business development to create requirements traceability and costed bases of effort (BOEs)
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, and perform research on alternate and emerging technology as assigned from time to time
Coordinate internal and customer software acceptance processes
Facilitate consensus and resolution of complex technical issues
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audience

What qualifications are they looking for?
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience in a related field
10+ years of experience working with customers, business development teams, and development teams
6+ years of experience collaboratively working with Agile product owners and using best-of-breed issue and project tracking tools such as the Atlassian/Jira suite
Demonstrated ability to architect well-crafted, scalable, and maintainable solutions, systems, and features
Ability to make reasonable trade-offs based on time and resource constraints in the interest of our business and our customers

They’re extra impressed by folks with:
Experience working with public key infrastructure (PKI) standards and/or physical access control system (PACS) technologies
Experience working with US Government security requirements including HSPD-12, FIPS 201, OMB M11-11, FedRAMP, and major NIST
Special Publication (SP) 800 series standards: SP 800-116, SP 800-72, SP 800-63, and SP 800-53
Experience working with secure SDLC technologies and DevSecOps methodologies
Advanced certifications in Agile methodologies, systems design and architecture, information security, and cybersecurity
