We are seeking a Market Manager, e:Commerce who will be instrumental in supporting our growth projects. Reporting to the Polyethylene Market Management Leader, the e:Commerce Market Manager is responsible for developing a marketing plan, setting objectives, assuring progress and maximizing NOVA Chemicals’ profitability in the e:commerce market.

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

• Maintain and grow NOVA Chemicals’ market leadership for the e:commerce market segment. Responsible for creating and leading strategies that maximize NOVA’s market leadership and profitability
• Develop and execute the marketing strategy, gain organizational alignment and assure milestones are met for profitability and sales volume for NOVA Chemicals in this market
• Lead the e:Commerce market focus team made up of experts across the organization such as Sales, Technical Services and Product Development
• Ensure NOVA Chemicals’ long-term market competitiveness through product and application development
• Capture future sales and have a long-term strategy to grow the market with both direct customer and Distribution partners
• Lead market development of related content and messaging and being the face of NOVA for conferences, tradeshows and collateral materials based on market needs
• Promote products at conferences and tradeshows
• Participate in and support trade affiliation memberships
• Lead actionable market research activities that support NOVA Chemicals’ Innovation Opportunity Road Map
• Build and maintain strong relationships between NOVA Chemicals and direct customers
• Provide leadership, strategy and decisions on pricing in e:Commerce according to NOVA’s delegation

What We Are Looking For:

• University graduate (business or technical degree) with 10+ years of industry related experience and continued professional development (5 years market-facing industry related experience preferred) OR 14+ years’ combination of post-secondary education, industry related experience and continued professional development
• Relevant Technical background and experience in the Packaging Industry
• Commercial facing experience strongly preferred with strong applications knowledge and skill
• Demonstrated commitment to Responsible Care®
• Strong interpersonal, coaching and mentoring skills with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively during daily interactions as well as in adverse conditions and at all levels
• Proven ability to manage in a matrixed environment
• Ability to vision and create strategy as well as develop and execute plans
