NEW HIGHER SALARY: $62,739 – $95,000
 
The Challenge
We are looking for a skilled EEO Manager to join our Office of Civil Rights EEO team.
 
In this role, you will:
    • Perform equal employment opportunity (EEO) analytical and supervisory personnel work.
    • Plan, coordinate, manage, and administer our EEO programs.
    • Develop and implement all EEO operations for 9,300+ employee organization.
    • Administer state and federal equal employment opportunity laws and interpretation and applications of policies and guidelines pertaining to the prohibition of discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, genetic information or disability.
    • Plan, develop, and implement our EEO Program for staff in administrative, professional, scientific, research, technical, clerical, trades, and craft occupations.
    • Serve as our EEO chief department administrator and technical advisor.
    • Review, analyze, investigate, monitor, counsel, and make recommendations regarding personnel practices relating to employees and applicants.
    • Conduct compliance reviews and complaint investigations.
    • Provides remedies for non-compliance.
    • Provide technical support to NCDOT statewide operations.
 
What You Bring
    • Thorough knowledge of EEO law, policies, principles, practices, and knowledge of discrimination statutes, case law, regulations, policies, and EEO investigative procedures.
    • Experience interpreting and applying EEO program standards to organizational performance, analyzing deficiencies, developing improvement strategies, and implementing solutions.
    • Data analytics and reporting skills analyzing employment data to identify adverse impact against protected classes and reports findings with quality, informative reports, and presentations.
    • Experience planning, prioritizing, and directly supervising staff.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in providing feedback, expressing opinions, observations, and conclusions to help achieve positive outcomes.
 
Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant field, and
    • 4+ years of relevant HR experience; or
    • The equivalent combination or education and experience.
