We have an exciting new opportunity for a Gas Engineer (Responsive) to work here at Thrive Homes! This frontline role will be customer focused, providing a comprehensive gas servicing, breakdown, capital renewal and quality assurance service in connection with all gas works within the Property services team, ensuring that all works is carried out safely, to a high standard and within budget.

The Opportunity

The role holder will be responsible for undertaking gas safety compliance checks of our stock to ensure the wellbeing of our customers. The role demands a methodical approach, high quality of work, and customer care that will help exceed our customers’ expectations.

Main duties involve:

  • Work in accordance with our policies and procedures relating to the delivery of building and building services maintenance works, ensuring they are in line with legal requirements and good practice.
  • Deliver a high quality maintenance, planned and capital works and quality assurance service to Thrive Homes’ buildings and other client’s properties in accordance with Company plans and legislation.
  • Help ensure that we deliver a cost effective and competitive repairs service on day to day maintenance, cyclical, refurbishment void works, home servicing and any other building related projects.
  • Deliver the service to a quality and timeliness that will meet relevant Key Performance Indicators.
  • Be responsible for your own health and safety and look out for that of others.
  • Provide out of hours support to Thrive Homes on a rotational basis.

Requirements:

  • HND or equivalent in an gas related discipline
  • Hold a valid Gas Safe registration
  • Full driving licence
  • Thorough knowledge and working experience of inspecting and servicing gas installations
  • Extensive knowledge of legislation, and current practice relating to the servicing and maintenance of gas services
