About Lavanda:
Lavanda is an LGBTQIA+ Music and Arts organization that curates sober/dry festivals, concerts and community events for Boston’s Queer Community.
We’ve hosted two small DIY concerts with 3 local lgbt+ musical acts and 1 vendor each, and Camp Fest. Camp Fest is our biggest event yet. Our inaugural festival (will be taking)/ was June 28th, 2024 at The Boston Commons. This is our first of many! Our hope is to provide queer people with spaces centered around the arts, community, and friendship rather than partying, substances, and hookup culture.
In the next year (July 2024-August 2025) we will be planning and organizing monthly community events: concerts, movie nights, craft circles, networking events, open mics etc. And planning Camp Fest 2025!
Ideal Candidate:
If you are qualified in any of these areas or fit any part of this description you might be a good fit! We do not expect one person to do all of this. We are building a team of people to work together.
- Queer/LGBTQIA+, passionate about the community, and or ally
- Passionate, knowledgeable, and/or curious about sober community spaces
- experience in any of the areas listed above
- College student or recent graduate
