DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Data Governance Leader to join our team specializing in Quality for our Components Business Segment in a Remote/Virtual capacity.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Lead Data Governance team responsible for operationalizing data governance framework, strategy, roadmap, and delivery across all functions and business units globally.
• Owns, manages and drives the information strategy and roadmap for the function to achieve information management maturity.
• Oversees all information management initiatives within the function.
• Facilitate the information governance councils within respective group.
• Ensures decisions made within an information governance council are implemented according to the agreed upon plan.
• Designs, develops and delivers training and informational sessions to grow capabilities and competencies within the assigned function.
• Leads the organization in understanding the business value of establishing and implementing an information strategy and develops value metrics that align to the deployment of information management capabilities.
• Works closely with function leadership to identify and support business segment engagement.
• Sustains operational knowledge of data information practices, analytics, governance, and quality, knowing who can help customers; Uses business knowledge to identify other growth opportunities for Information Management.
• Engages with industry experts and peers, conducting research on best practices and implementation strategies; Collaborates on the creation and continuous improvements to process and tools used to enhance the Information Management framework.
• Develops strategies for building, sustaining and innovating Information Management skills and capabilities within the business.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3-5 years overall data management and data governance leadership experience
• Experience implementing and managing data governance tools, councils, processes, standards and policies
• Proven ability to work with stakeholders and customers in a highly matrixed enterprise and global environment to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Experience ensuring legal, ethical, and regulatory data privacy, protection, and retention compliance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Up to 10% travel annually
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
