This is an exciting opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee for a Credit Analyst.

 

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

* Responsible for the preparation of credit reporting and credit-worthiness reviews for an entity within a business segment.

* Prepares entity level credit reporting, planning and forecasting.

* Analyzes entity level credit exposures.

* Develops an understanding of trade finance and credit management skills to support the business.

* Performs credit-worthiness reviews on new and existing accounts at the entity level in line with Corporate Policy, ensuring minimal risk to the business.

* Prepares metrics analysis and consolidated credit reporting for the entity, as well as ad hoc credit analysis and reports as required.

* Manages the local customers in relation to credit limits and terms and communicates with those customers as required.

* Coordinates effectively with transactional shared services provider (Cummins Business Services) in terms of Accounts Receivables.

* Ensures local entity credit activities are in line with Corporate Credit Policies.

* Executes special projects as assigned.

 

Financial Analysis – Interprets financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities and risks to provide insight to stakeholders regarding financial impact to drive business improvement; evaluates financial results against targets to communicate conclusions to all stakeholders; ensures integrity of financial data by investigating variances and determining corrective actions to resolve identified issues.

 

Credit Management – Assesses customer credit worthiness and risk to ensure that credit limits support sales strategies while maximizing accounts receivable collectability and minimizing bad debt balances; evaluates business opportunities to maximize sales without taking on undue balance sheet risks; analyzes customer payment performance to identify potential risks in order to optimize collection efficiency and minimize bad debts.

Experience

* Minimum two years of experience in a similar role.

* Previous experience with analysis of financial statements like balance sheet, cash flow, etc.

* Experience with credit and lending practices in a B2B environment.

 

 

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

 

College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related subject required.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
