This team is integral to ensuring the risks associated with processing Bulk Personal Datasets are considered, articulated and mitigated where possible. The ingest and processing of a Bulk Personal Dataset must be authorised at Deputy Director Grade during a Data Authorisation Panel, therefore applicants should be confident discussing Bulk Personal Dataset applications with seniors, and advising on risk.

Consideration must be given to other relevant legislation and best practice, such as the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Police Information and Records Management Code of Practice. Applicants should have a working knowledge of Information Management best practice.

As the Manager for the Bulk Personal Dataset Team, you will be responsible for managing a small team of individuals who identify and review all applications for Bulk Personal Datasets processed by the NCA to ensure compliance with our internal operating procedure. You will lead on Bulk Personal Dataset best practice, proactively encouraging others across the NCA to engage with the process. You will be a subject matter expert who is able to advice officers of all grades on the Bulk Personal Dataset process to ensure awareness and understanding of the importance of good information management practices.
