Corporate Services offers a challenging and stimulating variety of work in both delivery and support teams. The function utilises the expertise of eight specialisms that collectively enable the operational day-to-day running of the business to ensure that DE&S/SDA delivers its objectives and maintains compliance with the requirements of being part of a Department of State. We cover: Business Support; Comms, Media & Marketing; Infrastructure & Estate Management; Policy Profession; Sales & Disposals; Occupational Health, Safety & Environment; Quality Management; and Security.
A progressive opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Administrator to join the DE&S team at West Moors.
As a Business Support Administrator you will work as part of a team supporting in the management of a range of facilities and services essential to the site’s day-to-day running.
This position will allow you to further develop your skills whilst being significant in assisting the business. Through communicating with different stakeholders you will be involved in taking minutes during meetings, help support in the reporting of facilities on site, log faults within the estates arena and act as a point of contact for the site. You will also be key in ensuring records are kept up to date through maintaining accurate spreadsheets and databases across different platforms.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities as Business Support Administrator will include:
• Administrative support tasks, such as recording minutes from meetings.
• Electronic Procurement Card holder for site management support by co-ordinating the administration and procurement of items and maintaining a record of expenditure.
• Site liaison with iHub LSO in relation to IT issues across the site.
• Supporting with the facilities and running of buildings on site.
• Recording and logging faults.
• Liaising with stakeholders and customers on site.
• Managing and maintaining databases and records.
What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• Excellent and demonstrable IT skills particularly Microsoft Office.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 qualification or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working within an administrative role.
It would benefit your application should you be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
• Experience of Microsoft SharePoint.
• Experience of managing databases.
