Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Talent Acquisition Team for a confident and motivated individual to be significant in the attraction and hiring of senior level appointments within Defence Equipment & Support and the Submarine Delivery Agency.
As Executive Search Talent Acquisition Manager, you will engage with the Senior Leadership Group (SLG) to establish strong working relationships with Department Heads and Directors and third party providers, in order to meet the demands of the business.
Working as part of a large and complex matrixed public sector organisation, you will liaise and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, advising on recruitment policies and processes for senior level appointments. You will be effective in navigating a bureaucratic environment demonstrating professionalism in your ability to manage work efficiently, along with excellent organisation skills.
The Talent Acquisition Team is on a journey of continuous improvement and you will be key in positioning the team as a Centre of Excellence, with a consultative approach to partnering the business. Responsibilities
In this unique and influential position your duties and responsibilities will include:
• Managing the recruitment of senior and executive appointments within a complex hiring environment.
• Ensuring compliance throughout the recruitment process which could include seeking the approval for specific requirements from the wider MOD.
• Advising on compliance including procedural compliance through to recruitment principles.
• Sharing and ensuring relevant understanding of complex processes and principles for open and fair recruitment.
• Driving diversity amongst applicants and talent pools.
• Line management responsibility for junior members of staff.
• Ensuring excellent candidate care during the recruitment journey.
• Being a champion for change with the ability to introduce new initiatives where appropriate.

What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• Demonstration of senior stakeholder management and the ability to build relationships quickly.
• Experience of managing the recruitment of senior level appointments and delivering exceptional candidate care.
• Experience of challenging and improving existing processes and procedures.
• Proven ability to influence at a senior level.
• Experience of managing a small team within a mid to large complex organisation to deliver a first class service.
• A breadth of knowledge across all elements of recruitment from attraction/candidate sourcing, assessment, through to start.
