OVERVIEW
The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (ESFCOM) at Washington State University is embarking on the accreditation and development of a next generation medical school designed to train students to be physician leaders, who innovate, adapt and discover in an ever changing landscape. The School is now inviting applications for the position of a Seattle, WA based Research Study Coordinator.
This position coordinates operations of research studies involving human subjects applying knowledge and skills that are specific to the study and that meet the mission and goals of the program under general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and applicable senior research coordinator staff (supervisor). Research studies are coordinated through the Behavioral Health Innovations research group.
Responsibilities include coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring research activities and subject participation. Interprets ad applies study protocols, conducts interviews, administers tests and records observations. Coordinates management of study data, monitors data to maintain quality control. Summarizes study results, prepares reports, routes reports to funding agencies and groups. Assists with budget and finance activities including, but not limited to, participant payments, travel, and monitoring budget activities.
This position is located in Seattle, WA. Salary based on experience and qualifications.

10% Administrative Grant Support
5%- Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Two (2) years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two (2) years of experience as a Research Study Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
- Experience recruiting study participants for research studies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite products.
PREFERRED
- Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and competence communicating and working with health professionals, faculty members and researchers, and diverse groups within the general public.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health or addiction problems.
