Clark College is currently accepting applications for a tenure-track English instructor. Primary duties involve serving pre-college writers in our co-requisite models of composition, pedagogy designed to accelerate students into and through their program-specific composition needs, with the goal of increasing college-level credits and accelerating students toward degree completion. Department and college service work is expected with the position (as assigned by the division or college) to support the institutional mission and goals, foremost being student success and retention. This position begins September 11, 2020.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies • M.A. or M.F.A. in English from an accredited institution. • Two years of full-time teaching experience OR the equivalent part-time teaching experience in post-secondary composition. Salary Statement Starting salary is $62,049 (non-negotiable). Faculty may be eligible to advance every other year; current top step is $87,403. Salary is for a 173-day contract; additional compensation is available for summer and moonlight teaching, and doctoral and vocational stipends.
