Job Description
Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent classified IT Network & Telecommunications – Manager. The network manager applies independent judgment in the performance and delegation of the duties and responsibilities listed to maintain a secure campus network. This position reports to VP of Information Technology and provides senior management involving multiple domains for services, including Network Infrastructure, Servers, Telecommunication, and Information Security.

Position Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- This position will supervise Server Admins, Network Admins, Telecom Engineers, and related Managed Services Providers (MSPs).
- Provide the highest level of technical IT expertise and guidance to the IT organization Administrators. Communicates using non-technical terms to administrators regarding required changes to IT services and functions.
- Maintain the highest uptime for LAN, WAN, DHCP, AD, DNS, Firewall, IDS, VoIP, 0365, storage and shared files systems, and related enterprise services.
- Develop, interpret, and apply policies and procedures governing the overall delivery of IT services.
- Mentor and coach Team members and IT employees in best practices and industry best practices in network/data center/telecom area.
- Develop the technology vision and designing, deploying, and enhancing IT service support for the organization in conjunction with the Information Security Team and Information Security Standards.
- Budget ownership including allocating, managing, and operating the department budget and making financial decisions related to technology replacements and long-term strategic investments.
- Serve as a technical sponsor of large-scale IT projects, including major Bond projects.
- Perform vendor and contract management responsibilities related to the purchase and PM deployment of services.
- Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer, network, IT Systems, or equivalent degree program OR eight (8) years of equivalent technical related work experience.
- Five (5) years of experience as a manager or in a lead position overseeing and/or supervising staff in an IT field.
- At least one (1) certification or completed training in the following network areas: Firewall, Server Cluster, Wireless Data Center.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary Range: $8,033 – $10,802/month | Step A-M (commensurate with qualifications and experience) | Range: 09IT | Code: 486NT
Successful candidates typically start at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases.
