NEEDED – Enthusiastic candidates with knowledge of current events for our Advocacy Phone Fundraising Team for the AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION! Now seeking articulate, professional, passionate callers/salespeople to join our highly successful MAJOR DONOR fundraising campaign. Previous political fundraising experience a plus – but will train the right match! MUST be comfortable asking for $5,000 or more.
Job profile:
- Calling prior/current ACLU donors/members to secure donations via phone — no cold calling, no canvassing!!
- A minimum of 16-20 hours per week (4 full shifts) — you pick your shifts each week!
- Weekly shift schedule: Mon-Thurs 5-9pm, Fri-Sat 10am-2pm EST
- Compensation is base hourly rate (guaranteed to make your local minimum wage) plus commission/bonuses
- Mandatory paid training: Thursday 9/7 from 3-9pm EST
- Entirely remote/work from home — must have computer/laptop, headset/headphones, and good internet connection
Requirements:
- knowledge of current events/politics and a passion to make change!
- successful sales and/or fundraising background; an ability to close sales and make money
- computer savvy with proficiency on multiple softwares/platforms
- an ability to follow directions and convincingly read from a script
- high-quality customer service attitude
- laptop or computer with headset or headphones, and good internet connection
- MUST work/live in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, or California (Los Angeles and San Diego counties ONLY)
