Full-Time Senior Software Engineer – IT

This position will Design, Build and Deploy solutions/enhancements to existing systems with existing example solutions/code but limited detailed requirements. Additionally, this position will maintain updated troubleshooting and equipment-related documentation and support escalations from the Software Specialist Team. Reviews quality of work of Software Engineer I and Software Engineer II and provides mentoring, training, and escalation.

What you will do to contribute to the company’s success
Analysis, Design, Development and Testing is 70% of the expected responsibility.
- Develops code and applications to support Cable One business initiatives.
- Performs implementation of new hardware and/or software as it relates to active Cable One projects.
- Maintains and troubleshoots systems such as applications (custom and 3rd party), reports and/or database logic.
- Provides support and general maintenance and support of third-party applications including communications with vendors.
- Manages and troubleshoots all support tickets escalated by the Software Specialist Team or Software Engineer I.
- Provide escalation monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from other organizations within Cable One.
- Examines, evaluates, troubleshoots, applications deployed to IT servers.
- Troubleshoots application and interface communications over an IP network.
- Analyzes project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
- Works as part of a project team to coordinate software environments and determine project scope and limitations.
- Mentors other developers and technology team members.

Other skills and abilities
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- 5+ years as a Software Engineer II
- Advanced certification in Programming Languages such as .Net.
- Intermediate experience with Mulesoft Anypoint platform.
- Intermediate certification in database or operating systems preferred.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be a self-starter with sound problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be flexible and a team player.
- Position will require up to 10% travel.
