Would you like to be a part of the BEST SUMMER EVER?  At Summer camp you get to dress up, sing songs, participate in arts & crafts, swimming, Gaga, and fun games and activities all while making a huge impact on local children as you act as a role model and help them achieve personal growth.

As the Summer Day Camp Coordinator,  you will assist the Program Director in planning and creating themed activities, assist in recruiting, hiring and training camp staff, monitoring the camp budget, providing excellent customer service to parents and campers, and visiting all camp programs to make sure they are meeting the highest level of quality.

In this position you will be able to use your skills to:

  • Develop campers to their fullest potential
  • Make great decisions
  • Recognize and support staff
  • Communicate with parents, staff and campers
  • Think outside the box and try new things

Are you a good fit?

  • You have worked at least one Summer in Day Camp.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have completed High School/Obtained GED or completed 2 Summers as Counselor In Training Program participant
  • You are comfortable in front of a group of people.
  • You are detail oriented and love to organize things.
  • You are empathetic and good at taking care of people.
  • You are full of energy and can be ‘on’ all day long.
  • You are great at building teams and keeping people motivated.
  • You’re able to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required.

 

Starting Wage: $15.09+ per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours:  Part Time – Up to 25 hours per week

Dates of Employment:  May 1 – September 1 (exact dates provided during the hiring process based on location)
