As the Sr. Information Analyst for American College of Education, you provide analytical support for the mission and strategic initiatives of the college.  Your responsibilities include data analysis, data visualization, and reporting that inform planning, decision-making, analytical studies, and assessment.  As a member of the Institutional Analytics team, you work both independently and with your colleagues to support quality improvement projects and institutional effectiveness endeavors.

Day to Day Responsibilities
In this role you will wear different hats, but your skills will be especially essential in the following areas:

  • Collect requirements from academic leadership and appropriate stakeholders for report development
  • Utilize data tools and perform analysis of data
  • Collaborate with Academic/operational subject matter experts and lead development of appropriate metric and report development, data validation, maintenance, and modification.
  • Consult with all levels of users to help them solve problems, as well as contribute to highly visible and impactful organizational, projects through the expert analysis and presentation of data.
  • Participate in cross-functional data driven performance improvement team efforts, ensuring appropriate analysis of data, data accuracy, and data availability.
  • Consult with Academic leadership to design data collection tools based on parameters appropriate for the situation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, quantitative or educational fields.
  • At least three years of directly related full-time work experience.
  • Proficiency in data and visualization tools

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree or postgraduate certificate in quantitative disciplines such as business analytics, information systems, statistics, or related field.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience working in an Institutional Effectiveness, Institutional Research or Business Intelligence department.
  • Experience with KPI modeling, customer requirements gathering
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work remotely, including flexibility, comfort with communicating via Teams and Zoom, and exceptional self-management and prioritization skills.
