Salary range is $70k to $160k, with a midpoint of $115k.  New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

GENERAL PURPOSE:  

Under general direction, the Manager – Business Transformation Services is responsible for managing the agency’s continuous process improvement (CPI) program, initiatives and special projects; facilitates CPI events and training sessions; provides improvement support by functioning as a project manager, facilitator, analyst, and change agent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide facilitation and coaching on business transformation projects and Kaizen events.

• Establish strong working relationships and manage communications with project sponsors, project team, process owners, and other key stakeholders.

• Manage CPI program processes from intake to implementation.

• Develop and publish CPI program documentation and training materials. Develop program reports on progress and health.

• Grow engagement and participation in the CPI program to strengthen the agency’s overall effectiveness.

• Model and analyze current business processes to provide a foundation for defining business activities.

• Collaborate with agency leaders to identify areas of improvement, key performance indicators, determine gaps in performance metrics, and recommend change management techniques for quality improvements

• Advise in activities related to organization-wide initiatives such as management systems governance, asset and safety management and other activities as assigned.

• Conduct presentations to large and executive audiences to include reports and other information that facilitates decision-making.

• Administrative tasks are an everyday part of this position and could include writing and formatting letters, creating and populating spreadsheets, creating and maintaining files on the agency’s SharePoint site, developing and delivering comprehensive reports, communications, and project presentations, scheduling meetings for CPI work, preparing CPI materials, which include making copies and collating, and coordinating with staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree in planning, business administration, operations management or closely related field and five years of experience in LEAN, Six Sigma or related business process improvement experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:  

• Work is performed in a standard office environment.

• Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds; may occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery when visiting job sites during construction and when working in the field.
