ABOUT US: Archiact Interactive is a Vancouver-based Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) Studio that develops new and unique ways for people to play games and interact with each other. We partner with IP holders, large publishers, and tech brands to create and deliver immersive, high-end game experiences across multiple platforms with a special focus on building new tools for cutting edge emerging technology.
OUR GAMES: Recent titles include DOOM 3: VR Edition (on PSVR), FREEDIVER: Triton Down (on PC, PSVR and Oculus Quest), and MARVEL: Dimension of Heroes (a smartphone-powered Superhero experience built for Lenovo Mirage AR). ROLE OVERVIEW: We are looking for an Accountant who enjoys working in an agile and fast paced environment alongside a team of people that is bringing high quality VR/AR projects to life. We are a Vancouver-based studio but are happy to consider candidates from all over Canada to work remotely.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounting Operations.
- Manage full-Cycle accounting, including AP and AR.
- Oversee various account reconciliations (bank, credit card, and fixed asset accounts).
- Reconcile and file quarterly GST return and annual PST return.
- Assist with month-end closure and year-end closing.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and fulfil other reporting needs.
- Perform monthly financial analysis.
- Perform variance analysis and manage monthly cost review with all project teams, and assist the project teams with short term planning.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and assist with year-end payroll reporting.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- A team-player attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- A team player attitude with solid interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- A CPA designation or working towards CPA.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Familiar with payroll processing.
- CPA or Master degree in Accounting/Corporate Finance.
