Full-Time Youth and Tobacco Outreach Coordinator

Job Description

The Youth and Tobacco Outreach Coordinator will be primarily responsible for educating about the impacts and harms of the commercial tobacco industry and improving youth health outcomes by reducing youth tobacco use. This position will become a vital asset to youth throughout the West River Valley in Windham County, Vermont.

In their efforts to reduce youth tobacco use, the Coordinator will have the opportunity to work directly with the next generation in our community. They will facilitate student group programming, support LGBTQ+ youth, empower our youth leaders, host impactful events, use social media to reach new audiences, and engage in all kinds of prevention work.

The Coordinator will also engage with local leaders, work with partner organizations, and undergo training and other professional development.

This position is perfect for somebody looking to sharpen their communication skills, become a community leader, drive local tobacco policy, support youth leadership, and creatively build a healthier and more equitable West River Valley.

This is a 30 hr./week job with flexibility in days/hours worked. Some weekend work may be required. Rate is $20/hr. with full benefits.
