Full-Time Volunteer Manager

You have a keen ability to build relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience with strategic oversight of volunteer-centered programs. This position will focus on supporting and engaging an already-thriving network of volunteers and volunteer partners in the Colorado Springs area, as well as recruiting new volunteers to grow and expand our impact. The ideal candidate will have strong time management and organizational skills, a passion for building relationships, and the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With support from regional and national staff, support and expand the impact of our sober active community in Colorado Springs
  • Collaborate with volunteers to promote and support volunteer events and programs, both in-person and virtual
  • Build and maintain a strong volunteer pipeline through recruitment of new mission-aligned volunteers
  • Engage in frequent stakeholder communications, initiating and maintaining partnerships and volunteer relationships with recovery-focused individuals and other relevant local organizations
  • Work in a hybrid environment, with approximately 10% of time spent on location at the Phoenix gym in Colorado Springs. Occasional weekend and evening hours will occur
  • Complete other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of relevant work or volunteer experience (partnership, volunteer, or program management, leadership, etc.)
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Adaptability, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to make decisions with little oversight
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with people from various backgrounds
  • Comfort using various forms of technology and the ability to learn new technologies quickly

 

PREFERENCES

  • Lived experience as a peer in recovery
  • Knowledge and understanding around various fitness activities such as climbing, yoga, CrossFit, and pickleball
  • Desire to apply anti-racism and anti-oppression principles and practices
  • Previous experience with restorative justice efforts
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, etc.)

 

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • $58,000 – $64,000 annually
  • 403(b) retirement plan with 4% match
  • Paid time off (vacation/sick days/skill enhancement days)
