Position Summary
The Visiting Senior Research Specialist provides expert level research oversight and management of the federally funded maternal and pediatric projects of Dr. Rachel Caskey and Dr. Liz Glassgow.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple quantitative and qualitative research projects.
- Create interview guides, recruit participants, and conduct key informant interviews and/or focus groups. Document and organize qualitative data collection. Create survey tools and oversee survey data collection among research participants. Oversee collection of biospecimens from research participants.
- Supervision of staff participating in research.
- Project management.
- Assist with data analysis and contribute to writing of scientific manuscripts and/or grant proposals.
- Provide oversight of IRB compliance and submit required IRB materials.
- Provide correspondence with the funding agency including the submission of progress reports and updates on project reporting.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years related research experience.
- Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited school or university in social work, public health, or behavioral science or related health specialty.
