Position Summary
The Visiting Research Specialist provides expert level oversight and management of maternal child health projects. This position coordinates maternal health, child health and behavioral health efforts.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate research project activities.
- Supervision of staff participating in related projects.
- Organize training and community engagement data; assist with data analysis and contribute to writing of scientific manuscripts and/or grant proposals.
- Collect research data and synthesize findings.
- Provide oversight of IRB compliance and submit required IRB materials as needed.
- Provide data for correspondence with the funding agency including the submission of progress reports and updates on project reporting.
- Collaborate with the team to develop outreach, implement protocols, and evaluate outcomes.
- Other related research study duties as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, or a related health science field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
- Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
