The Challenge
Circadence is looking for enthusiastic and motivated engineers who want to build the premier cybersecurity learning platform of the future. We are a diverse and growing engineering team pushing the limits of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. We are building a SaaS platform with a modern microservices stack (Kubernetes, gRPC, GO, NoSQL). Our front-end stack includes React (web) & Unity (game).
Job Description
This is a key position for SaaS Commercial division which is at the forefront of driving innovation and incubation of software products and cloud services contributing to business growth. We are looking for an experienced technology leader to help us design and build the future and cloud services platform. As Principal Cloud Architect, you will be the foremost technical expert engaging with our core product members for the architecture, design, prototyping and implementation of evolutionary solutions.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for the plan, design, architecture and infrastructure support needed to address the software product requirements
* Analyze, propose and implement the core technology strategy for product development.
* Understand market- driven business needs and objectives- technology trends and requirements to define architecture requirements and strategy
* Conduct impact analyses of changes and new requirements on the product development effort
* Define and develop technical standards for development teams and participate in design code and test reviews as appropriate
* Lead, direct and participate in functional and technical design of the product and new technology adoption
* Create work plans which define scope, milestones, quality, risk, deliverables, and acceptance criteria
* Coordinate and actively guide in the design and development of all technical deliverables
* Manage and work professionally with team members to enhance their business and/or technical knowledge.
Core Competencies
* Expert in product development, solution architecting, scope and requirements gathering and quality assurance
* Expert in distributed systems programming, file system architecture, scalable cloud architecture and backup & disaster recovery systems
* Solid, demonstrated and deep experience in core application development with strong foundation in networking & database architectures
* Solid solutions architecting experience with Cloud IaaS, PaaS & SaaS – specifically Microsoft Azure
* Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
* Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
* Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques, best practices, design patterns and anti-patterns
* Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
Desired Experience and Skills
* Experience with backend languages\frameworks like Go, C++, Java, .NET Core
* Experience with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database technologies
* Experience with configuration management software, specifically SaltStack and Ansible
Minimum experience and qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 10+ years of total experience with a proven track record in successful software product development, technology architecture – ideally SaaS product experience.
- 5+ years of team software development
- Ability to work with and coordinate a team of developers toward a common goal
- Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
- Willingness to innovate in the absence of well-defined project requirements
- Driven, highly motivated, and committed to improvement
- Ability to work effectively under tight timelines and schedules.
- Must be able to work overtime as well as weekends when needed
- Have home office dedicated to working with teams, groups in a telecommute setting.
- Ability to work 40 hours with overtime as needed.
- Must be authorized work lawfully in the United States (required)
- This is a 100% remote position with the ability to travel (if needed)
