The Opportunity:
This position will utilize data to understand and recruit caregivers able to meet the unique needs of children placed in out-of-home care. This position will collect, assess, and evaluate data that is geographically specific to areas within the assigned region to drive recruitment efforts and strategies unique to the community. In this role, you will implement those recruitment strategies and develop community partnerships to employ targeted recruitment efforts. This position will create an internal recruitment campaign to develop caregivers with the skills, ability, and desire to care for difficult-to-place children.
Some of what you will get to do:
- Provide program management and oversight of a region-wide caregiver recruitment program.
- Assist staff and outside entities to interpret and implement program policies.
- Establish program standards and identify areas for program improvement.
- Travel within the assigned region to recruit from multiple local communities.
- Develop and implement recruitment campaigns specifically targeting families with the desire, skills, and abilities to work with specialized populations, including medically fragile teens and high-risk youth.
- Oversee internal recruitment campaigns using data to develop caregivers with skills, ability, and desire to care for children with complex physical, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Partner with child-placing agencies, Tribal entities, and school districts for recruitment efforts.
- Build relationships with current foster parents, local businesses, news media, places of worship, community volunteers, and leaders.
- Manage tasks to develop, implement, monitor, and analyze program reporting.
- Utilize data to identify and analyze the target market and develop strategies to deliver recruitment messages.
- Gather and utilize data geographically specific to areas within the region to drive recruitment efforts.
What we’re looking for (Required Qualifications):
Equivalent education and experience totaling eight years in planning, policy analysis, social services, and coordination with a variety of public and private agencies, organizations, and/or levels of government.
OR
Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in planning, policy analysis, social services, and coordination with a variety of public and private agencies, organizations, and/or levels of government.
OR
Master’s degree and two years of experience in planning, policy analysis, social services, and coordination with a variety of public and private agencies, organizations, and/or levels of government.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
- Previously demonstrated experience in the field of child welfare.
- Previously demonstrated experience with foster care recruitment.
- Previously demonstrated experience compiling, organizing, and evaluating data into reports to inform policy and practice.
- Previously demonstrated experience assessing and understanding program complexities and developing recommendations for improvement to meet outcome goals.
- Previously demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office applications and FAMLINK.
- Previously demonstrated knowledge of state and federal law related to child welfare.
