DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
At our new site in Spain, Cummins is developing innovative electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions. We have a diverse team of engineers dedicated to the development of existing and future products for customers on a global scale.
We have a thrilling new product development pipeline that includes medium and large-scale platforms for both PEM (HyLYZER) and Alkaline (HySTAT) technologies. Expect to be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment, to develop the next generation of Hydrogen electrolyzers.
We are currently seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Improvement Engineer to focus on key suppliers and ensure the suppliers are working to the requirements of the project. This is a Hybrid role, which will involve some travel.
Your impact with include.
• Collaborating with our key suppliers and other resources at Cummins, leading the use of quality improvement tools and methods to achieve zero defects performance.
• Oversees the supplier quality resources for our most challenging new product introduction and current products to reduce supplier related issues, improve process capabilities, and ensure timely project launches.
• Ensures suppliers select and use and adapt quality tools effectively for their industry and our requirements, especially the Advanced Product Quality Planning process.
• Leads the measurement of supplier quality performance according to established procedures and is responsible to drive appropriate improvements to meet established targets.
• Responsible to lead the continuous improvement activities with suppliers in their efforts to reduce defects.
• Responsible for Supplier Quality’s participation in the selection, management, development, problem solving, and assurance of defect-free performance of the direct material supplier chain.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Experience with Supplier Quality, PPAP, APQP
• Experience with various problem solving techniques
• Experience in varied Quality focused roles
• A degree in Engineering or related technical industry required
• Fluency in both English and Spanish
• Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally
