Full-Time Strategic Data Services Product Manager (DaaS)

Job Description

Manages software life cycle product planning activities and high-quality delivery of Black Knight’s products. The Value Stream Product Manager sits on the Data Integration and Accessibility Value Stream. This position will assist in the strategic planning and client facing product needs of the value stream and run the Voice of the Client activities. Serves on an Agile team to define product roadmaps to meet market requirements in support of product strategy initiatives. Provides oversight and prioritization for user stories and backlog refinement sessions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares and product backlog delivery plans. Identifies risks and challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, business integration needs, and retirement plans
  • Prepares and presents product roadmap reviews as well as providing product’s general strategic direction. Acts as Voice of the customer to articulate value proposition
  • Uses knowledge of systems and industry requirements to identify development needs or systems modifications
  • Engages and interacts with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups, and requirements gathering sessions, as needed
  • Practices open and honest communications with all stakeholders. Acts as servant leader to the organization, may mentor guide and advise on the work of others
  • Oversees the delivery of continuous and effective services and ensures completion within budget and in accordance with requirements contractual or other
  • Manages technical and business work items and may be responsible for oversight of vendors and subcontractors
  • Identifies areas where continuous improvement can be applied, implements the change, and measures the level of improvement
  • Collaborates across the organization to identify and coordinate product dependencies
  • May act as escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution
  • May participate in the determination and approval of service level agreements (SLAs) related to products
  • Works closely with development teams to review enhancement requests for strategic value and align resources to high priority project
  • Provides presentations to clients during business reviews, prospect briefings, and internal group meetings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, product marketing, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Requires 7+ years of Agile product owner, business, technical analysis, or consulting experience
  • Experience delivering strategic products around Data Warehouse as a Service (DWaaS) and/or Data as as Service (DaaS)
  • Large data analytic platform or business intelligence platform experience
  • Experience setting the strategic product and pricing direction for a data organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Client facing product management experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Black Knight’s products, services, and capabilities (AIP, Passport, BDE)
  • Knowledge of the tools, techniques and principals used in Lean-Agile framework/development
  • Experience in Azure DevOps
  • AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud experience
  • Data governance and enablement experience
  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Product Management and/or Product Owner certification(s)
  • Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner across various levels of the organization and varying areas of focus
  • Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large and/or complex initiatives (i.e., involving many activities and deliverables or that have a major impact risk/value to the organization)

The target pay range for this position typically starts at $120k – $155k.

Black Knight carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, specialty, experience, and work location. The base salary (exempt) or hourly rate (non-exempt) is just one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including potential bonus or commission eligibility, insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability), matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
