Position Title: Staff Pharmacist

Pay: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour

Job description:

AdvanceCare Pharmacy – West Hollywood is dedicated to serving the LGBTQ+

community and is seeking a dynamic and experienced pharmacist for our

community pharmacy. The Staff Pharmacist will support all pharmacy operations,

ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering outstanding service. The Staff

Pharmacist will play a crucial role in providing pharmacy services and culturally

competent care to a diverse patient population, including individuals living with

HIV, those at risk for STDs/STIs, members of the LGBTQ+ community, communities

of color, and individuals from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

enhancing operational performance while empowering your team. By turning

Responsibilities:

Operational Management: Support the Pharmacist-in-Charge to oversee

responsibilities of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support

personnel to execute high-performance pharmacy operations.

Prescription Dispensing: Process prescriptions from order entry through

verification, billing, and shipping, including services for HIV PrEP and

treatment.

Professional Services: Administer vaccines and long-acting injectable

medications as permitted by law, including the establishment of

collaborative practice agreements where necessary.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies and

relevant laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records of all pharmacy

transactions to ensure control and accountability for all medications,

including compliance with state Prescription Drug Monitoring Program

(PDMP) requirements. Report and address medication errors.

Inventory Management: Order pharmaceuticals from designated

wholesalers, including 340B accounts for covered entity partners. Supportthe PIC to conduct routine inventory counts and document any necessary

adjustments.

Professionalism: Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful work environment.

Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with all federal and state laws

regarding the protection of health information (PHI).

Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

simultaneously.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and

verbal.

Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and prioritize in a fast-paced

environment.

Capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Proficient in using pharmacy management software and other relevant

software platforms.

Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, both internally

and externally.

CPR Certified – Preferred

Certified to administer vaccines and prescribe/administer PrEP – Preferred

Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.

Hold an unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment and be

eligible for licensure in other states.

A minimum of 2 years of pharmacist experience.

Preferred experience in areas such as start-up companies, HIV PrEP and

treatment, and mail order pharmacy operations.

Preferred licensing and/or willingness to obtain license in any or all of the

following states –Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky,Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska,

Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia

Preferred completed training or willingness to complete training to

administer long-acting injectable medications
