The role: The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will work with a highly collaborative team. This position will focus on monitoring of the cloud infrastructure, applications and databases of our Groups360 platform, and responding to events, incidents and changes originating from internal or vendor applications. The SRE will partner with multiple cross-functional teams helping deliver new and outstanding experiences to our stakeholders while ensuring reliability and performance. The SRE will build a culture and practice that leads to improving product quality, automation delivery and infrastructure changes.

What you will do:

  • Monitor and analyze service performance against SLOs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead infrastructure incident response efforts for critical incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and impact.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews (PIRs) to identify root causes and prevent future incidents.
  • Perform capacity planning to ensure systems can handle expected traffic loads and growth.
  • Analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with other Operations team members to Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage infrastructure efficiently.
  • Configure and fine-tune monitoring systems to detect issues proactively.
  • Set up and manage alerting systems to respond quickly to anomalies or incidents.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Implement reliability engineering best practices and contribute to a culture of reliability.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of major failures.
  • Create and manage redundancy and failover strategies for critical services.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and monitor security measures and compliance requirements.
  • Perform security reviews and assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the Operations team and contribute to internal training and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with other Operations team members to ensure consistency in practices and processes.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in hands-on Monitoring and Alerting with tools such as Datadog.
  • 3+ years of Cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure).
  • 3+ years Source Control and Automation experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Gitlab.
  • Experience with deploying and monitoring AWS services like Elastic Computer (EC2), (EKS), (RDS), and Storage (S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier and AWS Storage Gateway).
  • Bash, Powershell or other scripting language experience
  • Docker/Kubernetes or other container experience
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environment.
  • Knowledge related to Disaster Recovery best practices.

  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to take ownership and get results.
  • Strong empathy for customers and a passion for revenue and growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint.
  • Other qualifications as required.

Core Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, Hybrid; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.

Status: Exempt

Location: Brentwood, TN. HYBRID (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
