JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
The Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps/Ansible) will be a technical expert for Ansible ecosystem & DevOps practices within the organization, providing solutions and technical implementation aligned with the automation program objectives. This team member will develop Ansible artifacts, troubleshoot issues and work on implementing configuratio n management roadmap of the organization. The Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps-Ansible) should be comfortable with frequent, incremental code, testing and deployment.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop Ansible playbooks and modules.
* Administer Ansible infrastructure, perform maintenance and configuration and provide SME level support.
* Develop, configure and administer DevOps and IT automation solutions.
* Understand and remediate complex issues and topologies of large enterprises.
* Provide technical support to IT ops around automation solution usage.
* Infrastructure and configuration automation.
* Mentor other team members.
* Provides on-call rotational support as needed.
* Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Strong experience with Ansible required
* Strong experience with Red Hat Satellite required
* Experienced in the automation of manual processes using Ansible strongly preferred
* Experience in Ruby, Python, PL/SQL, PowerShell, and Bash preferred
* Experience with Kickstart, Firewalls, Hypervisors and Routers preferred
* Experience with log mining & analytics using Splunk preferred
* Expert level RHEL 6, RHEL 7, Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 System Administration preferred
* Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, Oracle, Apache, Tomcat and Nginx preferred
* Expert level understanding and implementation of RESTful, SOAP and SDK APIs preferred
* Familiarity with OpenShift, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
* Familiarity with data science practices and patterns
* Well-versed in DevOps principles and the use of CI/CD tools
* Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment
* Ability to work independently as well as with a team
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Typically requires eight (8) or more years of demonstrated experience.
