JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
Responsible for design, development, user testing, and support of the user interface to optimize an engaging user experience for Black Knight applications.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborate with other teams and participate in discovery sessions to gather concepts and insight, create visualization concepts, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes for clients.
* Design front-end user interfaces for Web-based or other software products, including mobile and web console devices and assist in the implementation of a pixel perfect UI.
* Collaborate with back-end development, visual design, product management, and customers.
* Conceptualize behaviors and functionality for current and future software applications using design specifications.
* Develops process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies.
* Study how users feel about a system, evaluate perceptions of: ease of use, value of the system, utility, efficiency in performing tasks, etc.
* May assist with new user interface testing and participate in usability reviews.
* Translate user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for web/mobile experiences.
* Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Knowledge of relevant standards and best practices for design of modern, data-rich, and responsive applications
* Demonstrated skill of taking in complex data and designing UI/UX innovative data visualization to drive deeper insights
* Experience designing well-adopted software user interfaces
* Demonstrated experience applying design thinking principles and tools to product design
* Expertise with UI design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD and/or InVision Studio
* Some experience with JavaScript, Flash, XML, HTML, and CSS is preferred
* Experience with at least one of the following frameworks: Angular, React, or Vue.js preferred
* Remain current on user interface trends and suggest new tools and methods as necessary
* Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

UI/UX Designer III
Advanced professional role, requiring complex skills with a high level of proficiency. Works independently to design, architect and quickly complete projects with medium to high complexity that requires demonstrated knowledge. Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross training to others. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel. Consults with senior peers on moderate to complex processes to learn through experience. Lead new user interface testing initiatives and conduct usability reviews. May be responsible for usability research and design in the absence of dedicated usability team members. Conducts tasks and assignments as directed. Works on multiple projects as a project team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach and/or mentor more junior technical staff. Typically requires seven (7) or more years of relevant experience or e quivalent combination of experience and education.
