The Bedford site is home to a diverse group of research functions and teams such as Targeted-Protein Degradation, a growing scientific computing group, Gene Therapy, Protein production & purification, Biophysics and X-ray Crystallography.
To be successful in this role you the Senior/Principal Scientist – DEL Informatics demonstrate excellent scientific judgement and leadership and be highly skilled in cheminformatics or data analysis. You will have demonstrable experience and a proven track record of developing custom tools and informatics infra structure is critical, as is their application in data analysis. You will either already have extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of all computational/informatics aspects of the DNA-encoded library (DEL) platform or have the potential to acquire them in a short time. Together with other experienced DEL scientists, you will be instrumental in advancing/completing an internal UCB DNA-encoded library platform build. The clear purpose of this role includes the design of high-quality libraries, establishing the data analysis platform, and performing hands-on analysis of screening data and hit triage. The role will require extensive collaboration with scientists across our research sites and with external collaborators and CROs.
You will contribute by:
• Acting as key contributor to UCB’s DNA-encoded library platform strategy and its implementation.
• Providing leadership on the computational and data analysis efforts to design DNA-encoded libraries by working with internal and external collaborators.
• Acquiring, developing and/or implementing computational tools and workflows, through independent research and internal/external collaborations, for data analysis and hit triage.
• Leading the screening data analysis and hit triage in close collaboration with other UCB colleagues.
• Contributing to hit validation and hit to lead activities.
• Collaborating with external groups for the development of novel algorithms to enhance our computational capabilities for DNA-encoded libraries.
