Full-Time Senior Field Service Engineer
Job Description
JOB DUTIES:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive field service training programs, particularly focused on genomic sequencing platforms. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify technical gaps and coordinate targeted training initiatives. Perform setup, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting of advanced sequencing instruments at customer sites and internal labs. Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to conduct root cause analyses, resolve escalated system issues, and recommend design and process improvements. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and knowledge base documentation to support consistent service delivery across global teams. Contribute to cross-departmental projects to enhance system reliability and performance, including defining field requirements, testing upgrades, and supporting system bring-up processes. Interface with R&D, product engineering, and application teams to ensure technical alignment and successful customer implementations. Analyze system logs, instrument configurations, and performance data to track trends, prevent recurrence of issues, and drive continuous improvement. Provide technical leadership in the deployment of new tools, enhancements, and service protocols, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering or Engineering & Technology Innovation Management. 1 year experience as job offered or as a medical equipment specialist.
WAGE/HOURS:
$103,771/year – $109,720/year; 40 hours/week
