Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Brand and External Communications Senior Specialist to join our team specializing in Communications for our Corporate Business Unit in Indianapolis, IN / your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Contributes to Cummins’ corporate social media strategy, planning and execution.
• Helps build, contribute, lead, and execute strategic communications planning (marketing promotional plan/communications plan).
• Leads tactical execution of marketing and/or communications plans.
• Identifies and contributes to process improvement and functional excellence as it relates to content ideation, creation and execution.
• Simplifies complex messages.
• Writes, edits, and creates content and strategic messaging and adheres to relevant style guide
• Understands social media tools, trends, and channels.
• Presents conclusions and outcomes that enable data driven business decisions.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree in communications, marketing, or a related subject required.
• Between 2-4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Paid and organic social media tactical and strategy support, especially in the B2B space.
• Copywriting and copyediting of paid and organic social media content.
• Experience with Brand Storytelling, content creation and strong communication.
• A “customer first” mentality, with some experience helping lead social customer care processes preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
