Location: 22 Adelaide Street West, Toronto (currently working remotely but will need to commute to the office when it reopens)

Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to the Director of Operations & Supply Chain to coordinate stock needs for Canadian customers. You will enter data from various source documents into the Inventory Planning systems and projection spreadsheets, and assist with inquiries from US Inventory and Customer Service groups to facilitate all special handling of inventory and sales orders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• General Inventory (60%)
o Assist with reorders and reprints using Inventory Planner
o Handle stock transfer requests between various warehouses
o Work with the Inventory control team to recode titles as needed, addressing backorders and purchase orders cancellation
o Assist with POS reports when required to highlight top selling titles in Canada for the US inventory group to fulfill reorders
o Coordinate requests to freeze/unfreeze stock to facilitate special orders
o Create purchase orders using shipping documents

• Inventory Projection (20%)
o Update Harper UK final monthly forecast grid with Canadian projections
o Participate in monthly projection meetings to set final order quantity
o Suggest quantities for trade market on weekly reprint list for Usborne titles
o Note NYP estimates in Inventory Planner as well as audit overall quantity for forecast increase
o Assist with coordinating stock needs for Costco, sending projections for backlist reprints and arrange to freeze projected quantities for work-orders

• Operations (20%)
o Review Release Approval mailbox for rush order requests from Customer Service for titles where stock is managed
o Submit bindery ship requests for direct from printer orders
o Review rejected returns from TNG providing approval to credit if returns are valid
o Liaise with the data team to troubleshoot data discrepancies on Pubstock

Qualifications:
• 2 years of experience in Inventory Control, Supply Chain, or related field
• Post-secondary education in a related field an asset
• Exposure to Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne an asset
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel skills
• Able to multi-task, define priorities, and remain cool under pressure
• Ability to work alone and with team members and communicate effectively to all areas and levels of the organization
• Must be results-oriented, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed
• Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through
• Excellent data entry skills
